The Second Epistle Concerning Godly appearance

To the beloved brethren, called unto holiness and preserved in Christ Jesus: Grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied unto you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.   I write again, not because the matter has been settled, but because confusion has increased among some of you, and certain voices have risen that speak with the language of wisdom yet deny the power of godliness.   For it has been reported that some are saying, “If we do not dress to attract, how will we be noticed? How will a man desire us for marriage?” And others, claiming insight, have taught that restraint delays destiny, and that modesty repels favour. This teaching did not come from Him who called you.   Who taught you that attraction is the same as alignment? Who persuaded you that God needs seduction to fulfill His purposes?   If marriage were secured by appearance alone, then the nations would excel the Church. Yet we know that what God joins, He joins by covenant, not by display. ...

An Epistle to the Church Concerning the Way of Life and Godly Appearance

Samuel Abiodun Ojo, a servant of Jesus Christ, called and sent for apostolic formation, the raising of sons, and the teaching of the truth of Christ, to the brethren of the ECN and  to  those who are called by the name of Christ, to the assembly that bears His testimony in this present age: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present world system, according to the will of God. To Him be glory forever. Amen.   I marvel that you are so quickly drifting from the simplicity and authority of the life you received, and are allowing yourselves to be shaped by standards that did not call you, nor give themselves for you. This turning is not unto another gospel, but unto a distortion of the life of Christ, where liberty is confused with license, and grace is separated from transformation.   Let me speak plainly, as one who labo ur s for your souls.   When you received...

Epistle to ECN

Image
Samuel, a  disciple  of Jesus Christ by the  grace  of the living God, to the beloved brethren and sisters of the ECN family, called to the fellowship of His Son and sanctified by His indwelling Spirit: grace be unto you, and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,   who hath begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,   and hath called us into the fellowship of life in His Son.   I thank my God always on your behalf,   making mention of you in my prayers,   that you  be great in life, occupied higher position in the sectors of the world,  grow in grace and in the knowledge of the truth,   being built up as a spiritual house, a holy priesthood,   abiding in Him who is life and light.   I  do not write to you with eloquent words or persuasive speech, but as one who has received mercy from the Lord, granted the ability to perceive the deep truths of li...

I, Discp. Samuel, a servant of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and a steward of the mysteries of His grace,  the voice of His reality,  unto the called, the faithful, and the beloved in Christ, whom the Lord hath purchased with His own blood, grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied unto you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Beloved, I write unto you concerning the things most surely believed among us, that ye be established in the faith and not moved from the hope of the gospel. For I would have you to know, dear brethren, that spiritual things are not as earthly things. In the world, an idle man is counted as unprofitable, but in the Kingdom of God, a man that is still before the Lord and waits upon Him is mighty. For it is written, “Be still, and know that I am God”  (Psalm 46:10), and again, “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”  (Isaiah 40:31). We are not called to live by the works of the flesh but by the life of Christ in us...

UNION WITH CHRIST

UNION WITH CHRIST (3:6—5:1) Everything is of love and grace. Here she sees her own vanity and that everything comes out of God’s love and grace. Who can count the lessons we learn in God’s love and grace? The number of lessons Christ teaches us in God’s love and grace is unlimited. God's life is the sole foundation upon which you can express Christ. Outside of God’s life, we have no other ground to stand on.   Since the maiden is able to remain quiet for a while and stay with the Lord in her mother’s house and in   “the chamber of her that conceived me,”  she must have passed her test and learned the lessons she was supposed to learn in the second section. Because of His love, God gives her the grace and the power to learn what He requires of her.  We have to realize that with a seeker of the Lord, there is more than one experience of the second section. We may have to experience it a few times or even many times. However, God’s Spirit does not repeat the record of t...
