I, Discp. Samuel, a servant of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and a steward of the mysteries of His grace, the voice of His reality, unto the called, the faithful, and the beloved in Christ, whom the Lord hath purchased with His own blood, grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied unto you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Beloved, I write unto you concerning the things most surely believed among us, that ye be established in the faith and not moved from the hope of the gospel. For I would have you to know, dear brethren, that spiritual things are not as earthly things. In the world, an idle man is counted as unprofitable, but in the Kingdom of God, a man that is still before the Lord and waits upon Him is mighty. For it is written, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10), and again, “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31).

We are not called to live by the works of the flesh but by the life of Christ in us; for the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17), and faith is the person of Jesus Himself. Yet I fear, lest Satan, the adversary, by reason of the subtilty of his craft, draw some away from the simplicity that is in Christ, that they weary themselves with much labour, seeking righteousness by their own works, when the righteousness of God is by faith alone. Be ye not deceived, neither be ye led astray by the pressures of the world and the desires of the flesh, for the carnal mind is at enmity with God. If any man walketh in the flesh, he is vulnerable to the devices of the wicked one, for the flesh profiteth nothing (John 6:63). But if ye walk in the Spirit, ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16), and Satan shall have nothing in you (John 14:30).

Therefore, I beseech you, dearly beloved, set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2). Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). For the world knoweth not our ways, and we are not of the world, but of God. Let no word, thought, and mind of man move you from your steadfastness in Christ nor cause you to turn aside unto vain works, for apart from Him, ye can do nothing (John 15:5). The sons of God are led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14), and they that abide in Him shall not be ashamed in the day of His appearing.

Brethren, let it be known unto you that the way of the Lord is singular (one), and His path is straight. For it is written, “The path of the just is as the shining light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). Mark ye this path is singular, for God hath not given His people many ways, but one way, even Christ Himself, who saith, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

It is the way of the ignorant to seek many ways, and it is the beginning of deception to have many ways, as though the will of God were hidden or uncertain. But they that know their God understand that He giveth but one way, and that way is revealed in Christ by the revelation of His person. The Lord never sought a second path, neither did He turn aside to consider another way, but He walked ever in the way that was set before Him, saying, “I do always those things that please him” (John 8:29). Why then do you trouble yourselves with many thoughts and imaginations, as though God would leave you to wander? Hath He not declared, “Ye shall hear a word behind thee, saying,"This is the way, walk ye in it” (Isaiah 30:21)? Imagination is not the means of God’s communication, for He can show you His reality without the effort of man’s life.

O ye beloved, seek not to make your own way, neither look ye for another path. The spiritual pathway is not hard to find, for the Lord is the Way, and He doth guide them that fear Him. If ye desire only His will, He shall make straight your paths (Proverbs 3:6). If ye love Him, ye shall walk therein and not stumble. But if any of you be double-minded, if he seek his own way, he shall be led astray and shall weary himself with many troubles. The way of the flesh is broad and leadeth to destruction, but the way of Christ is narrow and leadeth unto life (Matthew 7:13-14).

Therefore, dear brethren, stand fast in the Lord.

Let not your hearts be troubled, neither be ye carried about with divers teachings, but be steadfast in Christ, knowing that He is the Way. May the Lord establish you in His will, that ye may walk in the fullness of His counsel, even unto the perfect day.

And now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among them that are sanctified. The Lord be with you all, and keep you from falling, that ye may be presented blameless before His throne with exceeding joy. Amen.

Finally, beloved brethren,

As we step into this new month of April, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abound toward you. May this month bring you into greater depths of His wisdom, strength in your walk with Him, and clarity in His divine purpose for your life.

I pray that in this season, you shall be established in the truth, strengthened in faith, and kept from the snares of the enemy. May your heart be filled with the peace of God, your hands strengthened for His work, and your spirit renewed daily in His presence.

“The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26).

Welcome to April! May the Lord go before you and make the crooked places straight. Amen.

The Setman of ECN in Christ,
Discp. Samuel✍
