ESSENCE OF MAN CREATED BY GOD

The concept of God's dispensing, as elucidated in the Old Testament, unveils a profound understanding of the purpose behind the creation of man. The biblical narrative in Genesis 1:27 articulates that God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him.”. An analogy is drawn, comparing this creation to a glove fashioned to contain a hand. Much like a glove is created in the image of a hand to envelop it, man is created in the image of God to contain God Himself. This intention is reiterated in Romans 9:23, which speaks of vessels prepared for the manifestation of God's glory.

The term "image" in Genesis 1:27 implies God's desire to dwell within the man He created. This intention is not a simplistic act, akin to placing items in a box, but rather a dynamic process involving the mingling of God with man, as illuminated in Genesis 2. In this chapter, God places man before the Tree of Life, indicating His desire for man to partake of its fruit and thereby receive God into himself. The mingling of God and man is a theme rooted in the biblical narrative and underscores the divine purpose of creating man in His image.

John 6, where Jesus declares Himself as the heavenly bread for humanity to consume. The metaphor of bread as the life supply, akin to the tree of life in Genesis 2, emphasizes the idea that consumed food becomes one with the individual through assimilation. The process of eating, dispensing, and mingling is portrayed as intrinsic to the relationship between God and man.

How God is dispensed into man and mingled with him is accomplished only by the Triune God being incarnated, living on earth, dying on the cross, resurrecting, ascending, and descending. In this way, God dispenses Himself into us and mingles Himself with us.

This comprehensive process is presented as the divine mechanism through which God imparts Himself to humanity, allowing for a profound communion between the Creator and His creation.

The call to delve into the depths of the heart of God arises from the acknowledgment that the Scripture is the Word of God. Moving beyond surface-level understanding, it becomes imperative to discern not only the promises, prophecies, typifies, and shadows of Christ in the Old Testament but also the nature of the Christ promised. The Lord Jesus Christ is revealed as the eternal God who undergoes incarnation, earthly life, death, resurrection, ascension, and descent, embodying a multifaceted purpose intended by God.

Living in the essence of God's dispensing, as revealed in the Scriptures, offers a profound and transformative perspective on life. Embracing the reality that we are created in the image of God to contain His divine presence infuses our existence with meaning, significance, and a sense of divine purpose.

Consider every moment as an opportunity for God's dispensing—His continuous outpouring of grace, wisdom, and love into your life. Just as a glove serves its purpose by enveloping the hand, recognize that your life has been intricately designed to contain the fullness of God. In every challenge, see the potential for God to dispense His strength.

Mingle with God in the depths of your being, just as food becomes one with your body through digestion and assimilation. Cultivate a spiritual appetite for the "bread of life," Jesus Christ, and allow His teachings, love, and presence to become an integral part of your essence.

Let the essence of God permeate your thoughts, actions, and relationships, transforming every aspect of your life.

As you navigate the intricacies of daily living, remember that your journey is not a solitary one. God's plan for you involves a continual process of dispensing and mingling, a dynamic interaction between the divine and you. Trust that God's purposes for your life are intricately woven into the fabric of your existence, creating a beautiful tapestry that reflects His glory.

Living in the essence of God's dispensing is an invitation to a life of purpose, intimacy, and divine connection. It's an encouragement to approach each day with the awareness that you are a vessel created to contain the glory of God. May this awareness empower you to live with confidence, gratitude, and a deep sense of purpose, knowing that your life is an ongoing expression of God's love and grace.
