The Divine Expectation for Humanity

God's ultimate expectation for mankind is to be found in the fullness of His divine presence, enjoying Him through a deep and intimate relationship marked by the law of life in the New Testament. This law is a transformation of the Old Testament's legal code into something much more profound—an internal, life-giving principle that governs our spirits and should also our soul. As expressed in Hebrews 8:10, God promises: "I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people." This is no longer a mere external commandment but the operation of the Spirit of life within, drawing us into the very heart of divine communion.

In this era of grace, God's dealings with us are centered on the law of the Spirit of life, an internal working of divine energy that transforms the core of our being. To have God as our God means that He is not a distant deity to be feared and appeased, but a living, vibrant presence within us. He desires to be enjoyed, not just worshipped from afar. This enjoyment of God comes through His indwelling Spirit, making Him real, subjective, and intimately present in our spirit.

When we align ourselves with this internal law of life, we experience God as our ultimate source of joy and fulfillment. This relationship reshapes our identity; we become His people, a new creation reflecting the divine nature rather than our natural tendencies. We are no longer defined by our human birth or our natural disposition, but by the divine life that flows within us through spiritual rebirth. This transformation is not about moral reform or external adherence to religious rules, but about being infused with the very essence of God. We are being saturated, moment by moment, with the divine elements—righteousness, holiness, and love—resulting in a spontaneous separation from the world and its values.

Something striking to take note of here is the notion of God’s inner speaking. This is the ongoing, living communication from God within us, guiding us in all things. As we remain open to this constant divine conversation, we gain an inner knowledge of God that surpasses mere intellectual understanding. This is the essence of the new covenant: not a set of rules, but a living relationship, a covenant written not on tablets of stone, but inscribed upon our hearts.

Moreover, this new covenant places us within the chambers (Holy of Holies), where we enjoy all the spiritual blessings that come with this intimate relationship with God. These blessings, or bequests, are the inheritance of those who live by the Spirit—the content of the New Testament, secured through Christ's death and resurrection. This is the pivotal truth presented in Hebrews 9, revealing that we are invited into the most sacred place, not by our own merit, but by the indwelling life of God that transforms us into His image.

Thus, the divine expectation for man is not merely obedience, but transformation—an intimate communion with God that fills us with His life, reshapes our identity, and draws us into a perpetual state of enjoyment of His presence. To live under the law of life is to partake in the reality of the new creation, a people who not only serve God but enjoy Him as their greatest reward.

"True transformation comes from within, as God's life fills and reshapes us."

Halleluyah!!!
